Prof. Katusic studied Medicine in Belgrade and later went on studying pharmacology. 1983 he joined Mayo Clinic as a post-doc under Prof. Paul M. Vanhoutte in the department of physiology and biophysics. 1986 he returned to Pharmacology at the University of Belgrade and 3 years later again returned to Rochester as an assistant professor of anaesthesia. Today Prof. Katusic is professor of pharmacology and anaesthesia research at the Mayo Clinic and Mayo Foundation, Rochester, Minnesota, USA and is leading a well-known international research group.
